Comfort Bands International has been serving the Canadian marketplace with products since 1992. Throughout the years we have experienced significant growth as well as changes within our company which have forced us to become better equipped to serve our customers well. The Following statements represent our company's philosophy and standards.

3. As of summer of 1998 we made a shift to a mix of wholesale/retail from wholesale only.
4. We have demonstrated our commitment to our customers by moving to Calgary to a larger facility and to provide a wider range of shipping companies.
5. We have invested in the best affordable selling tools (Catalogues, Web site, Email, Toll Free Fax line) to assist our customers in being well informed.

HISTORY

Comfort Bands International is owned and operated by Floyd and Valree Lindseth. We are the president, vice president manufactures, packagers and the janitors. The only thing we do not do is manufacture all the product.

In the beginning (1991) we did make the product but it did not take long before we could not keep up with the demand. Now we hire housewives all over central and southern Alberta to sew our products paid on per piece bases. The ideas for our products came from me (Floyd) when I worked in the oilfield. The terry cloth sweatband idea came about one hot day when I was sweating and could not keep my hard hat on when I bent over due to the sweat on my forehead. I went to the truck and found a terry cloth rag and taped on the suspension of the hard hat and was pleased with the results. I took this idea to my sister who is a professional seamstress and she put together the sweatband with hook and loop closure tape which made it easy to install. At the first we would sell a few and with that money make more. Seven years later our product is used all over the world and now available for sale on the Internet.

The winter liner has about the same story to it as the sweatband. I (Floyd) could not find a winter liner that had all the features I liked. I went to my sister (Leona Mollor) with five different winter liners. We picked out the best features of each liner and made it into one liner, which is now called Comfort Liner.

The forehead sweatbands are a new idea I came up with from request from our customers. Many customers complained about forehead sweatband were too tight. Our forehead sweatband uses hook and loop closure tape to adjust the tightness on the forehead.
