Comfort Bands International Ltd. was established on April 1, 1991, is owned and operated by Floyd Lindseth and managed by Lynne Sutherland. Our products are manufactured in Central and Southern Alberta by local housewives who pride themselves on producing quality product.

The product (Sweatband) was invented and manufactured by Floyd Lindseth who worked in the Oil and Gas Industry as an Oil Field Worker. The terry cloth sweatband idea came as a result of sweating on hot summer days using a terry cloth rag taped on the suspension of the hard hat. Pleased with the result, Floyd took the idea to his sister who was a professional seamstress and together came up with the idea to sew hook and loop closure tape to the terry cloth, an easy install on the suspension of the hard hat and welder helmet.

Initially, the product was sold to co-workers which spread like wildfire resulting in acquiring distributors to handle the demand. Twenty years later our products are utilized around the world and available for sale by our distributors and on the internet.

The Comfort Liner has a similar story as the sweatband. I (Floyd) could not find a winter liner that had all the features I was looking for. Again, my sister and I (Floyd) worked with several different winter liners before deciding on the features which would be beneficial to the Oil and Gas Industry.  This new product was given the name Comfort Liner due to the comfortably of the product and durability in winter conditions in Western Canada.

In the fall of 2011 Comfort Bands International Ltd. was pleased to introduce a Fire Resistant Comfort Liner to the product line as a result of industry standards.
